On March 13, 2020, HEI and Capacity Global Biotechnology (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd. signed an EPC contract for a 9,000-kg/h tobacco threshing and re-drying plant project in Kedah State, Malaysia, indicating that HEI had achieved an important breakthrough in the cross-industry extension of the EPC business scope of HEI.

The official signing of the 9,000-kg/h tobacco threshing and re-drying plant project EPC contract in Kedah State, Malaysia, has marked that HEI has successfully entered the light industry field and laid a solid foundation for the development of HEI in the Malaysian market and the multi-field and diversified development of HEI.

The contract scope of the Malaysian Kedah 9,000-kg/h tobacco threshing and re-drying plant project mainly includes design, supply, construction, commissioning and hand-over. The first-phase project covers a land of 24 hectares, including a living and office area of 7.3 hectares, and an area of 28 hectares has been reserved for the second-phase project of the plant. The total building area of the first-phase project of the plant is 127,000 square meters. The structures and buildings include the main functional buildings such as the raw tobacco storeroom, the threshing and re-drying workshop, the utilities room, the alcoholized tobacco storeroom and the comprehensive waste storeroom, as well as supporting living and office facilities, roads within the plant and relevant landscaping.
