On May 22, HEI visited the School of Energy Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) to hold a university-enterprise cooperation and exchange symposium and the “Scholarship for Excellence in Academics and Career” award ceremony. Li Chao, Chairman of HEI, Shen Zhaohui, Chairman of the Labor Union, and Zhang Shijie, Deputy General Manager, along with relevant personnel from the Human Resources Department, attended the event. Bai Yang, Secretary-General of the HIT Education Development Foundation, Gao Jianmin, Dean of the HIT School of Energy Science and Engineering, and representatives of the school’s faculty and students participated in the symposium and award ceremony to discuss in-depth university-enterprise cooperation and explore new paths for talent cultivation.

During the symposium, Li Chao introduced HEI’s global business layout. He pointed out that HEI's business areas are highly compatible with the academic disciplines of the HIT School of Energy Science and Engineering, and their educational philosophies are aligned, providing a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation. HEI highly values collaborative talent cultivation with top universities and looks forward to continuously broadening the scope and deepening the level of cooperation to jointly create a benchmark for university-enterprise collaboration.

Gao Jianmin, on behalf of the HIT School of Energy Science and Engineering, expressed sincere gratitude to HEI for its social responsibility in upholding its role as a state-owned enterprise, cultivating industry development, and giving back to talent cultivation in universities. He stated that the school will fully leverage its disciplinary advantages, proactively align with the enterprise's development needs, and make every effort to promote the implementation of university-enterprise cooperation projects, thereby delivering more high-quality talent to the enterprise. Bai Yang highly commended HEI’s initiative in establishing the “Scholarship for Excellence in Academics and Career” to foster a positive academic atmosphere, guide student growth, and support the university’s talent cultivation efforts.

After the symposium, the “Scholarship for Excellence in Academics and Career” award ceremony was officially held. Shen Zhaohui presented certificates of honor to the award-winning students and encouraged all students to align with the development trends in the energy sector, cherish their valuable time at university, stay true to their original aspirations, study diligently, delve into their majors, and refine their skills, while maintaining a passion for knowledge and a proactive attitude, striving to become pillars of society who can adapt to industry development and shoulder the mission of the times.

Subsequently, Zhang Shijie, drawing on his own career growth experience, delivered a vivid and engaging talk on career development to the students present. He advised the young students to proactively step out of their comfort zones, broaden their international perspectives, strengthen their professional foundations, and hone their comprehensive capabilities. He encouraged them to enhance their overall competence and forge core competitiveness through the unity of knowledge and action, so as to devote themselves to the energy industry in the future and courageously shoulder the responsibilities of the era.

Moving forward, HEI will establish a regular, long-term, in-depth cooperation mechanism with the HIT School of Energy Science and Engineering. The two sides will continuously innovate collaborative education models, deepen cooperation across various fields, including joint talent cultivation, resource sharing, and employment linkage, and promote mutual benefits and coordinated development between the university and the enterprise.
